The Blog Ring of Power Year in Review Presents...
Alma Alexander

Well, that was 2012. I published a novel which was squarely centered on the year itself and all its Mayan connotations ("2012: Midnight at Spanish Gardens") but it was also a bumper year for short fiction - stories appeared in anthologies "Dark Faith II", "Scheherezade's Facade" (where I share a TOC with Tanith Lee!), "Beyond Grimm", "Absolute Visions", and the annual magazine "Phantom Drift"; other stories accepted are still to appear, early in 2013. Also, the short story anthology I edited, "River" is a finalist for the Epic Book Awards this year. Which is really cool, seeing as this was my first foray into the anthology world wearing the editorial hat.

As far as 2013 is concerned, it will see the relaunch of my Worldweavers YA series, with the reissue of the original trilogy followed by the finale and conclusion to the story, a brand new novel (one or two, depending on how it is packaged by the publisher) called "Dawn of Magic" which OUGHT to be available by the end of next year.

alexander spanishgardenscover2Alma Alexander is the author of several fantasy novels, including Secrets of The Jin-Shei (one of my personal favorites) and her latest, 2012: Midnight at Spanish Garden.
